We are going for a hike at Crowder's Mountain on Sat March 15th. If you would like meet at Dunkin Donuts on South Tryon near Ayrsley Town Center (485, exit 1) between 9:15-9:35am, grab coffee & breakfast before we car-pool to Crowder's Mtn. We will be leaving Dunkin Donuts no later than 9:45, and we should arrive at Crowder's Mtn by 10:30am, look for Jeffrey G, who will be our Tour Guide.  Call or text me if you can't find us (704) 877-5662. Thanks, see you Saturday!  Judd

Anybody that wants to go to the US National Whitewater Center afterwards for the River Runs Green St. Patrick's Day Party, we can grab lunch & a beer at the USNWWC and probably get there by 2pm.

A quick 4 mile out-and-back trail is all it takes for excellent views from the top of King’s Pinnacle in Crowder Mountain State Park. Resting half an hour west of Charlotte, the Pinnacle trail and other park trails make great escapes from the city. Of course, everyone has the same idea, so expect crowds on the weekends. The trail starts to the left of the park office, at the trailhead for both the Pinnacle and the Crowders trails. For the first section until the two trails diverge, you will see several blazes, including a white diamond (Crowders Trail), red circle, and orange circle with a white hiker silhouette in it. At the junction, the Crowders trail turns to the right and the Pinnacle to the left. From here, the trail slowly begins to gain elevation.

I will be running approximately 5-10 minutes late as I have a 5K to run in Lincolnton at 9am and won't be able to get there till just a bit after ten. If you guys can't wait up, I'll run and catch up with you. Either way, I will definitely be there and am looking forward to meeting everyone. Thanks again!
