rock, ice, mountains, lead mojo when tendons allow.
Climbed trees as a kid. Occasionally push 5.11 at peak, but enjoy all levels. Most like developing new routes, wilderness climbing. Best place is wherever I am climbing at the moment, this has included Himalaya, Bhutan, SiChuan, Seneca, Gunks, Hai Long Bay, Railay, Phi Phi, Tahoe, Yosemite and most of all Hong Kong & Vicinity where most of my own 60+ rock routes reside.
Knowing when to turn around. Climbing within your own limits for the situation at hand, using sound, adaquate anchors placements and gear. Believe sport routes should be bolted to suite climbers at the grade of the climb, not higher (preventing serious injury not only reducing death probability). Be afraid of landing, not necessarily of falling.
