Smart people are building amazing products but sometimes, those products cannot find their market because they are not easy to understand or too complicated to use. Don’t get it wrong guys, execution is not only the algorithm ;)
To have a product, or a service, that works, you have to give the impression to solve super easily a complex issue. To do so, you need a consistent product, a brand universe that is understandable by your target, a great interface that people want to use and the best user experience ever. It’s not about marketing or sales technique. It’s a real match between the form and substance. In the blink of an eye, your user should understand how to use the product as well as the values, the meaning and the mindset of the startup.
One Mantra: Design is not a pretty box you put around your product but its DNA.
One mistake is to think that the design is just what goes around the product whereas it’s clearly its DNA. In other words, when you cook a cake, Design is not the sugar or the candies you put around but the flour and the eggs, aka the base of your product. Every month, we’ll welcome between 2 and 3 speakers to share their experience: UX expert, Product Managers, Startup founders or Designers will talk about SWAG and tell about what they went through, best practices and mistakes to avoid. Join us ;)
