This group is for people who are interested in doing or learning how to do one of the easiest and most common forms of partnered dancing--Swing dancing! Swing dancing can be anything from Jitterbug to Lindy Hop to Charleston to Balboa and more. Basically, if it was danced to swing or jazz music from the 1920s to the 1950s--it swings! We are open to dancers of all levels! We were all beginners once and we encourage beginners to come and join our group. You do NOT need a partner to attend one of our twice monthly dances, any of our 5 week lessons or our special topic workshops. Although it is not required, most people do rotate partners during our lessons. We encourage rotating partners as it is one of the best ways to learn the lead and follow aspects of partnered dancing.
