GetHiking! at US National Whitewater Center

You read that right, we're gonna head out to the Whitewater Center for a hike!  In addition to all the awesome stuff the whitewater center has to offer (ziplines, kayaking, and whitewater rafting!), there is almost 20 miles of multi-use trails.

You also read the starting time right - we'll meet at 7:30p for our first night hike!  Be sure to bring a headlamp or a flashlight, as we'll be finishing after the sun sets.  For a night hike on a multi-use trail, I also recommend wearing a piece of reflective clothing.  There will be mountain bikes out on the trail, and we want them to see us!

We'll do about 6 miles - 3 miles on an easy trail and 3 miles on a moderate trail.  Looking forward to seeing you all out there!

Note: there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle if you don't have an annual parking pass.  Might not be a bad idea to carpool and save a few bucks :)

If anyone is willing to drive, I'd happily pay the parking fee. Located in Plaza Midwood.

This sounds awesome, but I'm encumbered.Would this be "kid friendly" or more AO?

It should be kid friendly. The first loop is an easy trail, the second is a little more moderate. If you decide after the first you've had enough hiking, you can easily cut it short.

Meet at the Adventure Pavilion, it's the pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms towards the back of the parking lot near the trail head.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
