Where are our Divers: Epcot DiveQuest at Disney World

Where else can you dive in crystal clear water, with thousands of tropical fish, sea turtles, dolphins, eagle rays, saw fish, and SHARKS --- ALL IN ONE DIVE ??? Oh, and were your friends and families can watch the whole dive through the large acrylic windows.....  And where else you can swim with a shark (actually several) and sea turtles, and wave and people as they're eating dinner?

There is only one place.... and we're bringing you there at a significant discount over the regular price. This is a joint event with the Bison and my friends at Gold Coast Scuba.

Every diver must do this at least once... and every diver I have ever spoken with has said it's incredible.

Epcot DiveQuest is a very special scuba diving experience inside the 5.7-million-gallon saltwater tank at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion in the Epcot theme park. The experience will last 3 hours, but I promise you the memory will last a lifetime.  We'll spend around 40 minutes underwater in the massive Caribbean Coral Reef aquarium, which until 2005 was the largest saltwater tank in the world. We will also get to see the massive backstage infrastructure that's required to filter and maintain a vast man-made ocean flourishing with life.

All diving equipment is provided. Bring a swim suit and if you wish your own dive mask (particularly if you have a prescription mask). YOU CANNOT USE YOUR OWN DIVE GEAR.... so don't even bring it. If memory serves, the gear they provide is probably nicer than the gear you own. Everything is Top Shelf.

We have a group rate of $100 per diver. That is a 43% discount over the normal price of $175. No refunds are offered unless you can find someone to take your place. You MUST call GCS (or Griff) within 2 days of your RSVP in order to pay and hold your spot. This dive is also being offered on both the Bison and the GCS Meetup sites, so the number of available spots on this page will diminish when others RSVP. What does that mean? Don't Delay!

You MUST be SCUBA-certified and at least 10 years of age to participate (we're all in our 30's and 40's, right?). A dive certification card and a government issued photo ID is required to get in. I know I am posting this 3 months in advance... but this will sell out at this price. Don't delay!

It would be great if our groups turn it in to a Disney Day with our friends looking through the glass as we dive. We'll arrange car pools and other logistics as we get closer to the event.

There is very likely going to be one, and potentially two, spots opening up for this dive. Please message me if you are interested. If/when the spots open up, they will be offered to those who are on the waitlist and given to those who pay.

This dive is now full, but a waiting list is available. The last few times we're done this dive a few spots have opened up as people's plans often change. If you add yourself to the waiting list, chances are good you'll be able to join us.

I don't know...the thought of being surrounded by 5.7mm gallons of water and breathing through a little tube? Yikes! I have a buddy down here who is a master PADI diver/instructor who lives for diving, but the thought scares me. Snorkeling-yes! I can stick my head up to breathe :)

Zayne: this dive alone is worth getting certified for. I have another member considering doing just that.

I've uploaded a video of a recent Epcot Dive. This certainly doesn't look like Disney footage, but it's on YouTube, so it must be OK. Every diver should do this at least once in their diving career!

PADI is one of several organizations that provide Open Water SCUBA training. Feel to reach or to either me or Chris when you're ready to learn more as we both dive a lot and know many great (and some not so great) instructors.

I don't have my PADI training, yet. Eventually I will, that's something I want to do. Have fun!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
