I just wanted to let you know we're about to create a series of food-serving
Meetups through to the end of the year. They will occur on Wednesdays at
Next Door Shelter in the Tenderloin, which houses 325 people every night.
More information on the shelter can be found here:
We'll be running two shifts each Wednesday: the first from from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
and the second from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Each shift requires 5 people who will be
performing set-up, serving and cleanup duties.
We realize that not everyone can make it on Wednesdays - but please, bear with us!
Once we gain our rhythm with these regular events we'll start to increase the
breadth of options on the calendar.
Finally, I'd like to thank Episcopal Community Services (ECS) for the opportunity
to help at Next Door Shelter - and thanks also for your support. More to follow.
Daniel, for the Get Volunteering team.
