GDI Code and Coffee Night - August

Code and Coffee is a monthly opportunity for you to put your skills to work and meet others that share your interests. Bring your laptop, your recent projects and your programming problems.

Have a project idea and some skills, but haven’t attended a GDI event yet? Want to focus on helping others with their projects? You're welcome too!

This is also a great event for first time attendees who just want to socialize. We're very friendly and would love to have you join us. :)

As a group, we’ll hold each other accountable for completing our projects, and provide on-going support and feedback.

This event is free, but we ask that you make a small purchase. The shop is being kind enough to open outside their normal hours for us, and we like supporting local businesses. :)

Feel free to come by for the whole thing or drop in when you have time.

Share what you're interested in working on in the comments, so you can connect with people.

Need a ride to the event or willing to drive others? Please share in the comments!

Check out our available books and add a comment if there's anything you want to borrow from the library.

Note: This venue location is handicap accessible. :)

Has anyone ever worked with SOAP? Even better, SOAP + PHP? I could use someone with whom I might be able to talk about SOAP!

So since I moved it's slightly more complicated to come to these. Rather, it's slightly more complicated getting home from these. Who's coming from/going to the South Hills that wouldn't mind giving me a ride home this month (I remember Kathy said she is but just in case she isn't available let's find all us suburbanites)? :) Thanks! I'm in Brentwood, specifically. In case that's close to anyone in particular.

I was not able to get the confirmation code; however, I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
    See you there.

I would like to borrow Seven Languages in Seven Weeks, if that's possible. Noob here. Changing my major from English to something technical seems odd, but I've been a gadget loving, tech able person since I was little. I plan on coming to this meetup, I think.

Thanks Anne. I might not be able to make this one, however. It's on Thursday and payday is Friday so I'm unable to get my bus pass. But if there's another meetup like this soon I'm in.

I'm actually going to be able to make it. I thought it was tonight! I'm glad I didn't miss it. I have loads of questions. #noob

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
