PairUp! Practice your Coding Skills

PairUp – Practice your coding skills!

Get paired up with a random person at your skill level to hack on a project for 2 hours! Whether you are just getting started with HTML, or have been coding websites for awhile and looking to strengthen your Javascript skills, all levels are welcome.

Thank you to GiveForward for providing the space for this event!

There will be three group levels:

Level 1: HTML/CSS,  Level 2: Basic Javascript, and  Level 3: Advanced Javascript.

Here is our agenda:

10:00 am: Check In

  1. Register and get a sticker for your level.
  2. Grab coffee and say hello.

10:20am: Pair Programming!

  1. Decide what project to work on, using our recommended list or by brainstorming ideas with your partner
  2. Hack on your projects together for the next 2 hours.

12:30pm: Lunch (Optional)

Whoever wants to join us, we will grab lunch and eat together nearby (location TBD)!

Forgive me coming from the suburbs. o.O Need help trying to decide whether to drive or take public transportation. Is there parking at this location?

I live RIGHT in that hood, there is lots of street parking. Very easy to park (but give yourself time to park roughly 15 minutes at least) and parking is metered (2 hours max). I'd just say if you think its overwhelming to worry about the meter then do not drive, if you can handle meter you are good to go!
