Oops. I think I put my comment in the wrong place when I reviewed... c_C It was great to meet you all! I enjoyed Kaisa's beer analytics project. ^^

What a great event! It's nice to see familiar faces and meet new wonderful ladies that's so helpful to my daughter and her learning. Special thanks to Moni for letting us know about this event, to Susan for organizing it and the help and to Bridget for the help in registering us to DevOpsDays. What a great experience and my daughter--Tracey was so happy and is looking forward to the next event. Thank you all!

This one just came in this morning, and I have to mention it. Like I said I don't want to spam the wall, but I feel ilke anyone you might know fresh out of college looking to get their feet wet - this is a GREAT opportunity.

It is in St. Cloud for large, financial software/services company. They're looking for a fresh .NET developer, out of college or an intership that has around one year's experience. It will start out as a long contract, with the likelihood of going permanent. Please reach me if you know someone that might be a good fit. Any web development experience is what I'm looking for!

Thanks ladies! If you want more details, please email me and I would love to discuss [masked]. ~Leah

Thanks, Leah! Let's get women into these coding jobs. If you aren't qualified to apply yet, GDI Minneapolis will help you get there.

There is totally a place for you. Most people will come to our group with no experience and take our classes. Then after a few classes they can reinforce their knowledge as a TA and help other new students. Many TAs go on to become instructors.

I'm a coding newbie but ready to learn. I've used HTML to enhance a template website, but that's about it. Is there a place for me in your group?

I'm a member, not an organizer, but I would think there's definitely a place for you. I think members come with a wide range of experience, but all have in common a desire to learn more and get better at what we do.

I'm also a member, not an organizer, but I think this is the perfect place for you to start exploring your interests in coding, Jana.

You can meet others interested in learning coding and see what resources they've used and what they've created so far. That's really motivating for me, and it helps to know someone I can ask questions to about a topic I'm interested in.

You might meet someone exactly in your position too. Your presence could make them feel more comfortable and you could buddy up to learn something together. These women tech groups have really helped me feel more comfortable with what I don't know and more confident to ask questions.

Anyway, hope to see you at this one! It was brave of you to ask. I'm sure others are wondering the same so it's good for this to be public.
