Help us start an apprenticeship program to cultivate more women developers

Technically Philly ran an inspiring article a couple of months ago featuring some of our GDI students who took advantage of our classes to land technical jobs. Our goal is to grow that number even more this year and we need your help!

Last summer, we ran an informal tech apprenticeship with the goal of teaching participants how to code. All 4 were hired as developers after the program and we're looking to launch another iteration this summer. We're seeking a senior developer to take the program on. If you're interested, we would work closely with you to determine the curriculum and logistics.

Maybe you have a project, an idea, or in something the works that our eager apprentices can contribute to? We are open to all ideas. If you cannot commit to the full program, please consider volunteering to teach, TA or tutor our students. Email us at for more information or leave a comment below.

Hey Yasmine, Will applications be open for the apprenticeship this year?

Yes. It'll only run if we find a senior developer to lead it so tell your friends and spread the word!
