I also had a great time today! Thanks Gaby for making us first timers so welcome! Very encouraging to meet so many motivated people. Nice working with you Amy. =)

I had a great time today and really enjoyed working with my partner Danielle. Many thanks to Gaby and the rest of the TA's for all of your help!

I enjoyed this meetup. I worked with a classmate of mine who is also a rookie like me. We were introduced to the html basics in code academy and the experience was great. It was encouraging to see many others who are interested in learning how to code. The TA's made us feel welcome and comfortable, especially Eva :)

I'm so sorry, I can't make it in time this morning. I'm new to the area and miscalculated how long it would take. Would love to go to the next one!

Is this event for female only?

    November 16, 2013

  • Helen L.

Seems like 2 1/2 hrs is not long enough to learn :)
Btw, is there any parking available around? Or should I take bart? I am from South Bay.

There is a parking lot couple blocks away. Here is the map:https://www.google.com...

Thanks for this info. Gaby. Rates are $2.50 per hr on weekdays from 9am-3pm... It's a toss-up between driving up to Millbrae and taking BART into the city (50+ min. and $8+) even if the BART parking is free. See you tomorrow!

What is required to be a TA? Also I am new and wanting to get involved to reinforce my knowledge of this, can a 3rd person get added to a pair to "shadow" and provide feedback this time around? I am keen on attending this. Can take BART from Walnut Creek.

can gay boys join? this is a serious question, asking for a friend.

    October 30, 2013

    • Holly K

      by join, I mean participate

    • pamelafox

@Holly we are experimenting with the policy that males can come if they are friends of a female attendee - we assume that you vouch for them as being good respectful folks.

I'd love to participate but my skill level is dizzyingly low, so probably wouldn't accomplish much. :-/
