JS 302: Intro to Backbone

  • Aug 18, 2014 · 7:45 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

This workshop is an introduction to Backbone.js, a popular front-end javascript library for creating dynamic, interactive web interfaces.

We'll cover Backbone.JS Models, Views, Events, and CRUD, with hands-on exercises throughout.

Per our prerequisites guide, you should feel comfortable with JavaScript/jQuery and hopefully have attended our JS, MVC, and OO workshops.

Please bring a laptop, a charger, and a smile. We'll provide lunch at the beginning.

If you're interested in helping out as a teaching assistant, please let us know.

Many thanks to our sponsor HackReactor for the space.

If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, please request a GDI scholarship.

Last night I recommended signing up for Cooper Press newsletters to keep up to date with the latest news in the web dev world. Here's a link to that:

(I subscribe to HTML5 and JavaScript myself)
