Hi all -

We announced our spring series of workshops a few weeks ago. We’ve laid them out in order from beginner to advanced, starting with HTML/CSS and continuing on with JavaScript.  Thank you to our space sponsors: Adobe, Mozilla, Square, HackReactor, Disqus, and Macy’s!

Are just getting started on the learning path?

CodePath (the first free mobile developer school) is accepting applications for June classes Android and iOS. GeneralAssembly also has several info sessions coming up for their immersive courses.

The Bay Area Video Coliation launched an Experiential Design certificate program that you may be eligible to earn for free if you are un/under-employed. For those that are interested the application is: bavc.org/techsfapplication

Do you have daughters in school?

The Girls Who Code summer program is now accepting applications from 10th and 11th grade girls and it’s in multiple locations in the bay area. They are also accepting teacher applications now!

The Dare 2B Digital conference in March encourages young women to careers in computing.

High School Hacks is a hackathon for high schoolers, March 8th-9th, in San Jose. They’re also looking for teachers and advisors.

Already a developer?

There’s a neat sort of hackathon coming up in SF, HackFit, March 21-23rd. If you use the promo code “hardcore hackfitter”, you’ll get $10 off.

Want to speak about what you’ve learnt as a developer? The HTML5 Dev Conf CFP is now open. They are also accepting conference volunteers.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day on March 8th, Google is partnering with Women Techmakers to host a summit in Mountain View. It will include panel discussions, technical talks with female technology leaders, hands-on career-planning workshops, networking opportunities and more. Space is limited, so please apply to attend by February 21st. If you have any questions, please email [address removed].

Google is also hosting an event about their cloud offerings on March 25th: Google Cloud Platform Live. If you sign up, mention “Girl Develop It” as your company, so that they’ll prioritize you on the waitlist.
