Women Who Code Melbourne Chapter is having their first meetup: Introduction to iOS development by Jesse Collis(REA Tech Lead) and Stewart Gleadow(REA IOS Developer). Hands on coding and food included. This will be a nice way to learn IOS Programming and meet like minded people.

Thanks to everyone who came along to this last night. Was awesome to see such a good turn out and I personally got a lot out of this session, even though I found the pace a tad on the fast side to begin with. Was happy that I was actually able to get code to run! Wooohooo. Do we think we should run something like this as part of an academy workshop at some future date? Thoughts?

I rsvp'd on this event page, but didn't see the comment about needing to rsvp on the WWC page (and now there's a wait list). Does this mean I don't have a spot tomorrow?

How advanced is this? Do you need to have a programming background?

Well there are some pre-reqs. like having a mac with the correct software installed if you want to do the workshop. They say there is a hands on component, so I'd say you at least want to have some idea what coding is about to get the most out of it.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
