Project of the Month: Crochet Coral Reef: a worldwide collaborative project

"The Crochet Coral Reef is a woolly celebration of the intersection of higher geometry and feminine handicraft, and a testimony to the disappearing wonders of the marine world."

Pamela Bey will help us learn how to crochet and save the world! The Crochet Coral Reef Project was created in 2005 by Margaret and Christine Wertheim, to raise awareness to how global warming and pollutants threaten beautiful coral reefs. To be totally eco friendly we'll be using plastic bag yarn (regular yarn will be available too). If you want to try this project and don't have access to a crochet hook, please let us know in the comments!

Hi Jess and Ladies! You want to get any of these sizes, Sizes F, G, H, I, J, K, price ranges from $1 to $3 per hook or a package of hooks for $6 to $9. I recommend using Aluminum hooks because they glide easier. Sample of what to buy: http://www.joann.com/needle-arts/knit-and-crochet-supplies/crochet-hooks/

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
