Open Data event March 18

From: Caroline C.
Sent on: Saturday, March 15, 2014 3:22 PM

Hello everyone,

We're very excited about our Opening up Open Data event next Tuesday, March 18. Our esteemed speakers Bianca Wylie and Keith McDonald will be discussing open data from both a citizen and government view, explaining what it is, why we should care, and how the City of Toronto is making data accessible to everyone. We may even have a treat from Keith of an open data song or two!

Doors open at 6:30pm so come and grab yourself a healthy bite to eat, meet your fellow guests, and settle in for the presentations to kick off at 7:00pm.

This month's event will be at HackerYou's new space, The Lab, located at 483 Queen Street West, 3rd floor, just west of Spadina Avenue.

Two lucky attendees will also win one ticket each to FITC Toronto through a draw during the evening. These tickets are valued at $700 each for the three day design and technology conference, so it's a great prize! More information can be found at

Look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!
Caroline, Tutu, Amelia, Anna and Helen.
