THE PENNY FRIENDS
is an amazing social group for women 40 and over, married or single. When you come to a meeting you will find a wonderfully diverse, warm and welcoming community of women where you have the freedom to be yourself.

The theme of our group is to keep the heartfelt and deeply meaningful essence of female friendships alive and flourishing through laughter, wonderful conversations and great times. 

We are women from all lifestyles, who have been there for others and now it is time for us to be there for ourselves. The only parameters we live by during these meetings are to take pleasure in the wonderful women we are, forget about our problems, bring new friends into our lives and have a fun filled girls night/day out.

We also give contributions to a Home for Abused Women.  All women, no matter where they are in life, need friends and support.  These women, in particular, need extra support.  We feel a kinship towards them and their children.  Whatever is told to us that they need, we give them from our hearts.

We have two regular monthly meetings. One is held at a local restaurant  for a minimal dinner fee - or just come and join us for a drink or soda and comradery.  We also have "card/game" evening which is a great informal night of laughs and games .   Additional events such as movies, walks, plays, museums, etc. are also planned.

New members are continuous. Space is limited, so please only register your meeting RSVP if you are certain you will be attending the event. Come join the fun and surround yourself with other women who want to enrich their lives with new friendships in a place away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

This group is organized by Ginny O'Connor, author of "Girlfriends Are Pennies from Heaven"  an inspirational book of women's life stories.
