We are extremely excited to announce Girls in Tech Milwaukee and GSWISE (Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast) have partnered to offer exciting career exploration opportunities for girls in grades 6-8. This first event will introduce the initiatives of the Girl Scouts STEM program and how Girls in Tech Milwaukee members will play a big role in mentorship and creating opportunities for young girls to think of technology, math, engineering, digital, entrepreneurship, and science as careers they can be leaders in. This meeting will serve as a workshop where GiT members will pair up with one another and create a curriculum to present at a future troop meeting. The curriculum content is meant to be fun and creative! The curriculum, contact information and availability will then be posted on the Girl Scouts website where local troop leaders choose a curriculum for their group of girls. The GiT mentors will travel to the troop meeting where they will share experiences and information about their profession or technology interests. Girls will then get to try their hand at a career related activity.
