Hike to Hyalite Lake

This is an 11 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of 1,900 ft. My guide book says it should take about 5 hours to complete and is rated easy to moderate.

"The Hyalite Creek Trail is the premier hike in the entire Bozeman area. The trail passes eleven waterfalls in a deep canyon with massive cliff walls and majestic peaks. The hike ends at Hyalite Lake, a high mountain alpine lake in a horseshoe-shaped basin."

Hannah and I are both on our way but may be a little late. We both had a bit of a drive :-)

Hopefully there's not too much snow over up there :p or we might have a shorter trip

I have a 2 liter water bladder that came with my backpack. I usually fill that up but I personally only drink about a liter per hike unless it's really hot.

For anyone who is familiar with the seasons around here, do you think the end of Sept is going to be too cold? Does it snow by then? This is the first full day I have available to do this hike :/
