Stand-Up Paddle Boarding

  • July 30, 2014 · 11:00 AM

Let's try stand-up paddle boarding! We can either go to the East Gallatin Recreation Area ("Bozeman Lake") or up to Hyalite Reservoir - you decide! The Bozeman pond is (much) smaller, but the water is probably a bit warmer and perhaps easier to learn on. Equipment can be rented at many of the sporting goods stores around town, or at MSU's Outdoor Recreation Center. The Rec Center charges $20/day ($25 if you want a wetsuit), with an additional charge of 20% for non-students.

I'm going. Abbey do you know where you are renting from or do you have your own?

You should suggest an event for it!

I would actually be very interested in rescheduling this. Since I have to work at 5 (and it takes about 45 minutes to get there) I would rather go when I have a bit more time, and don't have to feel rushed. Is anyone interested in doing this a different day?

Since there is a chance of rain on wednesday, do we want to meet at ASMSU around noon - they don't open till then anyways?

I would love to do Hyalite as well. And Jennifer, later would be fine - I just have to be sure to be back to Bozeman by 5 (that's when most rentals are due as well).

I should be out of my appointment by 12 and I will pick up my board and paddle before so I am ready to go.
