This Fall, the Greenwich-Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring the second Chelsea Bazaar to the Altman Building on 135 W. 18th Street on Saturday, October 20th, 2012.

Participating vendors include Vaute Couture, Bitter & Esters, Unlock a Secret, Divine Destiny Accessories, Jazz Brownies, Molly Rose Post Jewelry, The Teologist, Suds & the City Soap, and much more!

After the bazaar, we will have lunch at 2:00pm:

 

Lillie's Victorian Bar at Union Square

13 E. 17th St - (between 5th Ave & Broadway)

 

 

We will be sitting at the high tops in front of the picture and fireplace. Seats are right next to each other. All seats in the restaurant are high tops.

 

 

 

 

*We have been here before and the food is excellent. You can have brunch, a sandwich, salad, burger or a hearty plate.

 

***Please bring SMALL BILLS (not just a $20 bill) to pay the check more easily. We will not be getting separate checks and will probably have 4 people on a check. You will only pay for your portion + tax and tip.

Melted sharp cheddar cheese seasoned with beer, homemade mustard and Worcestershire sauce spread across toasted country bread

Oven-baked country ham with your choice of swiss or cheddar cheese

Organic Chicken Breast Sandwich

Topped with melted aged cheddar cheese, pesto, mixed field greens and sliced tomato, served on toasted country bread

Lillie’s “Signature” Steak Sandwich

Hanger steak with melted gruyere, sauteed onions, and bell peppers, topped with frisee lettuce

Chicken Pot Pie

Organic roasted chicken with tender potatoes, carrots, celery, and peas. Prepared in a creamy bechamel sauce and topped with a golden puff pastry

Stuffed Organic Pork Chop

Stuffed blue cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach, served with a sweet potato puree, haricot verts, and fresh currant sauce

Bouillabaise

Pernod-infused lobster stock, mussels, shrimp, calamari and cod

Vegetarian Quiche

Farm-fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables paired with a baby spinach salad and citrus vinaigrette

Fish & Chips

Smithwick’s beer-battered cod served with homemade sea-salted chips and tartar sauce

Roasted Organic Chicken

Prepared with wilted baby spinach, chive mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms, and natural jus

Steak Frites

Seasoned steak topped with chive butter, served with hand-cut french fries and a baby green salad with truffle dressing

Sheperd’s Pie

Ground beef slowly stewed with fresh corn, peas, carrots and tomatoes topped with creamy mashed potatoes and baked together until golden brown

Bangers & Mash

Imported Irish sausage, mashed organic russet potatoes, caramelized onions, and homemade chicken gravy

Irish Beef Stew

Tender stewed beef, fingerling potatoes, and baby carrots in a Guinness brown gravy

    I thought it was a perfect day. We did so many different things - visited a bazaar, went to a street fair, had a wonderful lunch and then shopped at a farmer's market. Everyone got along well, the weather was beautiful and we all got to know each other a little better.

    Loved it!
    This meet-up was a lot of fun. The restaurant had a beautiful decor and delicious food. Before our lunch we went to a bazaar where we sampled various foods while looking at many unusual hand made hats and dresses, than walked through 14 street farmers market full of fresh foods and cheerful music. I had a wonderful time.

    Lillie's is a small, Victorian pub a block from Union Square. We have been there before on a Friday evening. The food was excellent but the afterwork crowd made it very loud. They assured me that on a Saturday afternoon for brunch/lunch it would be a lot better. Also, we will be sitting on high tops, on seats very close together, not low tables and chairs.

    Chelsea Bazaar is very casual shopping so it is an easy place to talk to the members as you walk around. You don't have to join us for lunch if you have to work...We will probably stay about 2 hours and then go to lunch around 2PM. If you decide to come and are not joining us for lunch, please state that in your RSVP because I will have a reservation at Lillie's and need to have an exact count. Thank you.
