In search of a creative outlet after graduating from design school, and a desire to move her body, Natalie sought out a new form of self-expression through the powerful movement art form hoop dance. Since the first revolution around her hips three years ago, she has continued to discover the multi-faceted qualities of the hoop as a transformational tool, soothing mind and body.
Natalie has been teaching hoop dance since 2010. She teaches hoop dance flow, hoop fitness and hoop yoga classes. Natalie has been blessed with opportunities to share the joy of hoop dance with many others throughout the Richmond metro-area through outreach, instruction and performance. She is proud to have been intimately involved with the growth of the hooping community in Richmond, VA and has assisted many embarking on their hoop journey. Inspired by the transformational abilities of the hoop and her love of sharing and teaching, she was prompted to become a HoopnoticaFit and Hoopnotica Flow certified Teacher in 2011.
She continues to explore movement with her hoop, integrating yoga, capoeira and dance into her personal practice and is constantly inspired by the movement arts community. She has found hoop dancing to be the path to increased physical awareness, confidence, self-expression, joy, community and fitness and the portal to flow.
