We are pleased to announce our next educational presentation!  Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 29th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Blueberry Hill Park Center.  Be sure to RSVP at our Meetup.

We will welcome Brad Tupi.

Brad Tupi is an attorney practicing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Brad was born and raised in Pittsburgh, then obtained his B.A. in 1975 and his J.D. in 1978 from Columbia University.  The Columbia of that time was a radical, Marxist, anti-war place; Brad succumbed to Leftist beliefs.  Over time, his life experiences and religious faith restored him to sanity.

Brad began his legal career with the New York City Law Department and served as an in-house attorney with CIBA-Geigy Corporation (now Novartis).  He returned to Pittsburgh in 1987, where his law practice includes commercial and personal injury defense litigation, environmental law, and pro bono work in the area of religious freedom and the First Amendment.  Brad is an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund and a member of the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society.   He has spoken at TEA Parties, church assemblies and universities on subjects ranging from the role of religion in the history of America to the falsehoods of modern environmentalism.  Brad and his wife, Ann Marie Clyne, live in Upper St. Clair and have two grown children, Nick and Steph.

Brad’s remarks will focus on the roots of modern American Progressivism and its threats to religious and economic liberty.

That's okay. It's probably good that you feel a burning disappointment.
At the end, Attorney Tupi answered the last question ("What do we do? WHAT do we DO?") thusly: "Vote big on November 6 or -- [he paused] -- Stage a revolution?"

"Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America," Rep. Allen West (R-FL) said at the Palm Beach County Republican Party Lincoln Day dinner.

Hope everyone enjoyed Brad's presentation as much as I did. I love Allen West's quote...thanks for sharing, Richard!

The same Allen West who voted to raise the debt ceiling, giving additional blank credit cards to a government who's spending is out-of-control, and to issue in the Defense Reauthorization to detain Americans indefinitely without a trial? I guess even a broken clock can be right twice a day.

Andy...we are working on it. This was the first time we taped it. It's a long video so we are seeing if we can avoid breaking it down into 10-minute youtube segments. As soon as we get this posted..we'll notify the membership

Thanks to Brad Tupi who did an excellent job of defining Progressivism and its negative effects on our country. He was able to show us not only the history of this ideology but also how its values are truly the opposite of the 9.12 values. Thanks to all the members who came. These are members who want to educate themselves and make a difference. This is such an important year for the direction of our country. Be sure to join us for our next educational event in February. Look for upcoming details. We all need to get involved in some way!

Our 9-12 group leaders are getting better and better at staging these events. Attorney Tupi is a very highly placed figure in the world of lawyers (Tucker Arensberg in the PPG gothic towers) and really knew his stuff. He prompted us to ask how it was that FDR was able to be reelected 4 times even though his management of the country, using an earlier version of what Obama is now doing to us, only made matters worse. I proffered that FDR used radio technology to control the mass mind. KDKA, for instance, the world's first station, here in the Burgh, had little competition. World wide statist governments had taken control of leading countries. The cult of personality worked to advance FDR as not merely a "President." Again, like what Obama has been trying to pull off. Anyway, Bob Howard remarked that the tables and chairs had been taken down with amazing speed after the lecture. Clearly, we can run our own country and don't need godmothers like Sibelius telling us what to do.

Very enlightening look into past administrations and their path toward progressivism.

Good review of what is happening to the American culture. Good opportunity to sign candidate petitions.

This was another outstanding informational / educational event!

I really enjoyed the program. I've been a member of the libertarian party and supporter of the constitution since the late 70s. I say all this to say I actually learned more about progressivism and a new way to think about the government's concept of charity. One of the members expressed his concerns that Brian was speaking to the choir; true, but I feel it empowered me to have my voice; as I usually do.
