This is the next full-membership party with a live band, dancing, great food (naturally), sharing, making new friends - and this time it also includes members of the Fine Art B&W Photography group! The price includes the band and the groceries - we provide the cooking talent within the group - of course.

Click on the link below to pay on Eventbrite - just $25 - and you'll have a wonderful evening!

More details as things move forward:

The password for getting tickets on Eventbrite is "CulinaryArtandmore".

Looking forward to this event!

If you want to find out more about the BAND - checkout the link below:

George and his guys play at the Port Restaurant in CDM weekly, and other places in the area as well - check them out!

Ideas about what we should cook are welcome.  Last September we made huge amounts of bouillabaisse and had shellfish and shrimp coming out our ears!  Last January we had Chef Laurent Brazier do a paella cooking demonstration for the whole group.  This time we should utilize some of our local talent - maybe a variety of things from South American, to Japanese, to wonderful artistic pastries, to southeast asia, to, whatever - let's open up the discussion to great ideas - we always have them!

Hey Mike, I would love to join you Sat. night! Sounds like you have an incredible evening in the works. Can you share the Eventbrite password & share some details on what I can bring?

    July 1

    • Mike D.

Hi Karen - and Welcome! Glad you can come Saturday - just check the description above and click on the link for Eventbrite and use the password "CulinaryArtandmore" and you will be able to register. People usually bring some wine that they enjoy and to share, and if you have a dish you would like to make - you may assemble it and prepare it here but do the prep work at home. If you'd like to do this let us know what and we'll try to coordinate with others too!

      July 1

    • Mike D.

You GOT it! See you Saturday!

      July 2

  • Mike D.

There might be members that decide to do things with some coordination - but there might well be cuisines from all over the world represented!

Is there a regional twist to this or just whatever suits our fancy?

    June 26

  • Mike D.

Just a REMINDER to register with Eventbrite for the tickets ... gotta pay the band! Guests are welcome for this event, through EB ...

    June 26

    • Jeni

Omg found a fun celebrative Sangria I'll bring

      June 26

  • Mike D.

I also am planning a large pot of authentic Cuban black bean soup - taught to me by a friend that defected with the recipe in 1962!

    June 26

  • Mike D.

The plan is that various enthusiastic people that are coming will bring their mis-en-place (prepped things from home) and then put some dish together that they like to make. Grilling and making sauces, sauteing things on the stove, making soups, whatever strikes your fancy. We just have to coordinate it ahead of time. I'll probably make a couple of souffles, but haven't made a final decision yet, but will use one of the ovens for 90 minutes or so to bake - but there are three ovens - room for another couple of bakers! Let me know what you'd like to do and we're moving ahead!

Strangely - with all of the fruit trees I have NO lime other than Australian finger limes, certainly not the great Key lime, and no cherry tree. Most else, to be sure. We'll certainly have people using the BBQ for the July 5th party! And Sangria in a warm Summer month is perfect!

    June 9

  • Jeni

Also I'm doing a BBQ cooking class to learn more technics California is known for Tritip it would fit the 4 July weekend theme aswell into international

    June 9

  • Jeni

    Mike
Hello so I was wondering if you had Limes ?? In that wonderful yard for a Key Lime Dessert or something for a Chilled Sangria ??

BJ - you're just going to have to get your head out of the clouds! Summer climbing season? You'll miss all of the good tunes here!

Sorry to keep on playing the same tune, but I'll be in Colorado that week.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
