Greetings - it was great to see all that could make the "long term travel picnic." Unfortunately we got rained out and moved indoors to the nearby Lucky Lab - my apologies to anybody we missed in the process!! In any case some great discussion was had and I'll plan another one for an indoor non-weather dependent location for next month. If you have suggestions for a great place conducive to mingling I'm all ears. :)
In the mean time I figured I'd pass along some random websites and travel plans I gleaned from various people that may be useful information for you all.

Many more people had great ideas that are not on here - I didn't catch them or didn't catch your name with them! Also, since many were interested in volunteer vacations - perhaps we should set up a meetup specifically on that topic as well. The book I passed around is "Volunteer Vacations" - Short-Term adventures that will benefit you and others. By Bill McMillon, Doug Cutchins and Anne Geissinger. It will be available at the library once I return it!
Cheers,
Nora
