American Jewish World Service (AJWS) is the leading Jewish organization working to promote human rights and end poverty in the developing world. AJWS advances the health and rights of women, girls and LGBT people; promotes recovery from conflict, disasters and oppression; and defends access to food, land and livelihoods. AJWS pursues lasting change by supporting grassroots and global human rights organizations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean and by mobilizing supporters in the U.S. to advocate for global justice.

Global Circle Bay Area is AJWS's community of young professionals (20’s-40’s) dedicated to advancing the mission of AJWS through awareness, advocacy and philanthropy. We host events throughout the year including film screenings, volunteer opportunities with local organizations, social justice happy hours, speaker's series, discussion groups, and offer travel opportunities to visit our grassroots grantees in the developing world. We hope you'll join us to see how you can make a difference both locally and abroad!

Bill

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
