Priorities, Goal Areas and Why We Don’t Always Do What We Originally Planned!

Grisel Damgaard
“Priorities, Goal Areas and Why We Don’t Always Do What We Originally Plan on Doing!”

How often do we sit down and decide what is a priority for us in our lives? Could it be possible that there is a disparity between what we say is a priority and the areas in which we spend most of our time and energy?
Why is it that we start off the day / the month / the year with nothing but great and noble intentions and resolutions: “I will really, really, REALLY start running as of tomorrow morning!” - only to find ourselves with dozens of excuses to do the exact opposite?
Why is it that promises made to ourselves are often the hardest to carry out?
What is it that is standing in the way?
What mental process can we actively engage in in order to counter this pattern - even when “the going gets tough”?
Grisel has 25 years of experience working in Monaco and has a background in education, marketing strategy, branding and graphic design. She served as Director of Marketing and of Alumni Relations at the International University of Monaco for almost 10 years and has also worked in international sport and yachting. She is not a newcomer to the business development field and has built up Monte-Carlo Weddings with her husband and two years ago set-up Carfax Education Monaco.

Grisel loves to share her enthusiasm and passion for personal development. She jokes: “The thing is - personal development is not for everybody. It’s only useful if:
a) you are a person
b) you happen to deal with people on a daily basis, or if
c) there is a minute chance that you haven’t quite finished developing
