This is an Online Webinar, 7.30pm London UK Time
Inclusion has become an important debate in the whole area of
human rights. The battle for inclusion in the areas of race and gender has had many successes and most organisations have policies in place to ensure inclusion in these areas. However in the area of Disability there is still a battle to be fought. Many organisations still are not inclusive in this area and a significant proportion of people are denied their basic human rights.
Linda Jordan was a member of Newham Council and a teacher in a mainstream and special school. She is now a Support Team member of Valuing People , the national strategy for improving the lives of people with learning disabilities. She will lead this webinar and open a discussion on the human rights of those with disabilities and their right to be included.
