WEBINAR - Getting Involved - Activism At A Regional Level

  • March 3, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • Online Meeting

Following the webinar we held with Ruth Stokes who wrote the book “The Armchair Activist's Handbook," we felt this was so successful that we are seeing how we can run monthly webinars on activism and how people can connect with causes to make a difference. Ruth will be helping us with this.

To start this off we have planned three webinars on local, regional and national activism that we are doing in co-operation with the National Community Activist Network.

This is the second webinar and will focus on activism at a regional level and will be presented by Allan Wort of Equality NW - an autonomous group linked to The Equality Trust. The Equality Trust works to reduce income inequality in order to improve the quality of life in the UK.

Allan is a professional accountant and business director. He has accumulated vast experience at senior level in manufacturing and service organisations in a number of sectors over the last thirty years since graduating from university and radiates as much of it as possible in order to help others be more successful. Born in Birmingham, UK he nevertheless he tells us, he has a sense of humour and a brain.

Allan is most interested in better practical ways to enable the greatest number of people living around him to enjoy more fulfilled lives and will join any team to bring this about.

You Will Need To Pay Your Annual Subscription to Attend

Although membership of our site is free we do expect all those who attend our events to pay an annual subscription that covers attendance not just one meeting but also to the vast majority of our meetups and webinars for any one year. It also allows you to bring one guest free to every meeting or webinar.

If you are unable to pay online this way can you please let us know and we will make other arrangements. Also we never refuse membership to anyone who is unable to pay, so do please let us know if there are difficulties this way and you will still be able to join in.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
