It was wonderful, well planned and discussion provoking. The members were all very kind and resourceful, the hosts were phenomenal.

The meeting was so wonderful! Making new friends, seeing old friends, enjoying delicious snacks over discussions of deconversion and Humanist ethics. I wish we'd had more time, it was exciting to exchange ideas and plan for the future.

This was a successful meeting. Two new people showed up and they seemed to be engaged. Everybody was friendly and we all contributed to the discussion. The food was great. - Mike DeLozier

Everyone was quite decent and the conversation was intelligent, pleasant, and constructive.
I would recommend this group to anyone interested in understanding the human experience.

With Mike as our leader, and Suzan and Brenda as our hosteses, we had a wonderful first meeting. We were delighted to welcome two new members, Vince and Katie, who added a lot to our lively discussions ( we went an hour overtime and did not have time to watch the George Carlin video!) With Janice included, we had a total of seven attending. It was mainly a "get to know you" session with everyone telling their story about how they became a Humanist and Atheist. This feels like the beginning of some supportive friendships that will be enjoyed for many years to come. Tho we are a small group we are joining over 35 million Americans who are coming out as un-churched non-believers.

We passed around a sheet listing some of our Humanist ideals and values and each person chose one that has special meaning for them; such as science, reason, art or compassion. Several members said they would brings friends or spouses to the next meeting...so we are growing already!

Dear humanist friends we find it necessary to change the meetup date from 10/9/2011 to 10/2/2011 at 1:00 PM. That's the first Sunday of October at the same place.
