I believe in being a good person for the sake of being a good person; not because I will be punished if i am not, or rewarded if I am. I realized at a very young age that I had different ideas and beliefs than those around me. I had questions. Questions that made people uncomfortable or angry. Questions, that I realized would never yield satisfactory answers. However, the questions are more important than the answers they may or may not bring. Accepting things as they are, simply because that is the way they have always been, is illogical to me.
I really love to read. Among my favorites are, the His Dark Materials trilogy, The Giver, Night, & anything by Tolkien. I am also a huge comedy fan, because there's nothing in life that we should be afraid to laugh at. Fear will only hold us back.
