Welcome to Draeger's Gluten-Free Club & News

Hello Draeger's Gluten-Free Club Members,

I'd like first to welcome all of our new members to the club! Now you are on your way to meeting hundreds of others with gluten intolerance. Celiac Disease and gluten sensitivity run through my own large family, so I know the great difficulty we come upon every day. Bringing GF foods into the mainstream is key, and I think with all of our voices and demand we can make this happen!

We will meet apprx. every 3 mos. at a Draeger's Market in one of the four Bay Area/East Bay locations. Those of us who can attend the Sept. 20th meeting in San Mateo will learn a great deal, while munching on the best GF foods. Every meeting will be informative with news about how gluten affects us and how to make our diets more delicious. Before I wait any longer, there are two exciting items I want to share with you.

First: Community Suppers: A series of community suppers are happening in Marin, on the second Saturdays of each month, starting August 8. The suppers will be put on by personal chef, Tom Herndon. He works in partnership with Willie Victor, registered nutritionist. These events will especially be for folks with food sensitivities. The suppers will be free of gluten, dairy, soy, shellfish, peanuts and processed sugar. Here is the website with more info if you would like to know about these events: http://www.fullfridge.com/PC.
You'll find out where, when and how much, as well as the menu and list of ingredients.

"It will be a lovely evening with nice tables, a piano player, Willie and I talking about resources for the GF community and some really good food (if I say so myself). Please let me know if you have questions. My email is [address removed]. Thanks!" Tom Herndon

Tom Herndon is not associated with Draeger's, but he wanted me to pass along this information to you.

Sincerely,
Mary Claire DeSoto
