There is usually a speaker and we have time to talk about favorite places to eat, recipes, where to stay away from, events, GF news. Often (usually) have some sort of samples, and lots of GF resources, lists of GF restaurants and bakeries in Portland.

Wow! Tim Horel and Lisa Stander-Horel really know their baking. They were honest, down-to-earth and shared such practical tips on baking as well as some science behind GF baking. Why some GF recipes fail, never brown, etc.

The location is easier to get to from Sellwood, and easy to find the conference room

We will talk about the upcoming Gluten Free Food Fair at the Double Tree on 4/26/14. We discuss research, food, books, recipes. We try to have samples of new products at each meeting and listen to the owner and their story about how they came to create their products. We have had recipe book authors speak. We have a packet for new members who are new to the gluten free diet. We just talk about all kinds of GF topics and support each other. It's a place where you can get your GF questions answered. It's great and I am so glad I am a part of the group!!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
