Let's meet and communicate about Go and how we use it in a more structured way.
Pizza and soda will be present to fill hungry stomachs.
We will have a number of 15 minute presentations of projects in Go, possibly ranging from pure learning on the "hello world" level up to complex professional endeavors, followed by a discussion and feedback session where audience participation is expected to range from "how did you do that?" to "here is how I would have done that!".
After the presentations we'll have an Open Space.
Booked so far:
- Martin Bruse presents his hubris loaded plans of building a fast simple clustered structured data storage inspired by Redis using Go.
- Alexander Yngling presents "The migration period: porting two Java backends to Go", a tale of two cities (well, companies) and plans for / experiences with moving their backend systems from Java to Go on AppEngine.
- Sriram Elango presents a demo on building a restful service using gorest/goweb on the app engine.
I urge and welcome anyone having something Go related to talk about to contact me at [masked] and get added to this list - the more various topics we have the more fun will be had!
