Second Meetup - Discuss Solutions to a Google Codejam Problems

  • This location is shown only to members

During this meetup we will work on and discuss our solutions to the Google Codejam practice problems at https://code.google.com/codejam/contests.html.

These are a good set of non-trivial problems that are defined well and can be solved in a few hours.  The solutions are also available online @ http://www.go-hero.net/jam/13/solutions/0/1/Go but no peeking unless you're really stuck :)

It's a good idea to start working on these before the meetup so we will have enough time to discuss the solutions as a group.

Agenda:

6:30 - 7:00pm Pizza and Meet and greet
7:00 - 7:30pm Lightning talks
7:30 - 8:30pm Talk about solving a problem
8:30pm - ? Libations at Greeks

I really want to attend these. I think there will be a large intersection of Go and Ruby devs in Philly, and the 2 meetups should probably not be on the same night.

I can do a short lightning talk on encoding/json that I'm using for an API I'm writing.

I was thinking we could pick something from the most recent google code jam practice exercises. This are usually problems that can be solved in a couple of hours.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
