We are passionate about Nature and working with Her. We are fans of EDIBLE LANDSCAPES and other such movements....We are particularly interested in learning about permaculture techniques... which seem most appropriate for our 15 acres of wet clay soil...and also want to learn about Organic Gardening and Biodynamic Principles... Our property is a thru-way for a herd of deer and so there is a Lyme-tick problem. We have researched Guinea Fowl and see this as a good sustainable solution to our problem. We have a makeshift greenhouse this year, which begins our learning-curve regarding seedlings and propagation. We are dreaming about having bee hives one day...and an orchard...We have many questions about 'cover crops'....We definitely aim to share our bounty and beauty with our community.
please connect me with classes/meetups that would teach about developing gardens suitable for wet clay soil.....We need information and tips on greenhouse maintenance...We are all open to learn about any kind of 'sustainable practices'.
My name is Marta and I am Chairman of the Land Development Committee at the Mother Meera Retreat Center near Port Colborne. Our plan is to revive the property using permaculture and similar techniques. Would love to meet with experienced gardeners.
I have searched the internet for some time before deciding on your organization....I have many interests in the realm of eco-gardening and sustainable living...all of which a represented generously within the Go Local Oakville Meetups.....So happy to be on-board with this wonderful group of people.......marta gee
