FUNDAY SUNDAY Part Deux: A little distance, a little climbing...

  • Mar 10, 2013 · 12:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Make Sunday a fun day. This will be an intermediate paced ride to Rocky Butte, up the 205 bike path, over Mt. Tabor ,along the Springwater corridor ,and finally some zigging and zagging through bike-friendly streets back to the start.

We'll do something like 15-16 mph on the windless flats. We regroup at all turns and nobody is ever dropped on NumBumz rides.

Time: Be ready to ride at 12:00 PM. Meet and greet at 11:45 AM. We honor those who arrange their schedule to be on time. If you are running a minute or 2 late and let me know then we'll wait.

Route:http:http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2207745

After the ride: Meet at Bottles for food and drink.

RIDE LEADER CONTACT INFO: Rob George[masked]; [masked] Please call or email with any questions.

Pace: 15-16 mph on the flats

Distance: 28ish miles

Hills: A pretty nasty incline on the approach to Mt. Tabor but our legs should be warmed up. We will re-group at the top of tabor.

Attitude: Social and fun.

Traffic: Mostly bike paths with bike-friendly city streets.

Weather Cancellation Policy: Brutal cold, soupy fog or sideways rain will cancel. I will post a comment by 8:00 AM if the weather is bad enough to cancel.

Required: All items you need to change your tire if you get a flat, including a spare tube. Please carry sufficient water and snacks for the ride.

Mandatory for all riders.

Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.

All riders must have their rides in good working order and must bring a flat kit & spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out. Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride. We will try to help!
