The Ride:It's NOT the usual, old faithful tootle around N/NE PDX. It's a tad longerER for everyone and I'm going to try and find a way where we have a fastER and a slowER group. SlowER will be at our usual 13, fastER at 15. That means the fastER group gets to pizza and beER 13.8 minutes earliER :).
We've been doing this ride for a few weeks and it's easy, fun, safe and social. We will ride 22 miles very casually around N/NE PDX. Very social, great for folks that haven't ridden with us before. Nobody gets dropped, evER.

Pace 13-14 or 15-16 mph - you choose
Distance 23.6 miles
Fitness ½ Day - this should take 2 hours
Attitude Social – nobody gets dropped, we regroup at every turn
Traffic Low w/lane mostly
Start Time – wheels rolling at 6pm – 5.45pm meet & greet – Call JC if running late[masked]-7644. We always leave on time, but will wait a minute or 2 if you've called to say that you're that close.

Rider requirements - Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request.
Always bring lights, plenty of water, snacks for energy, a flat repair kit, including a spare tube. A tool kit and small pump is good, but if you don’t have one there is usually someone on a group ride who does (but don’t count on it).
If you are joining the group for the post-ride social, bring a lock.
Carry a credit card, cell phone and a little cash to buy refreshments.
Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.
