Come and join Beth and I on a casual Sunday morning ride.  The forecast calls for  thundershowers, but they usually don't happen until the afternoon.  Bring a light jacket if you are concerned, or for warmth when we start out.  We will begin at Panera Bread in Hillsboro, near NW Cornelius Pass Rd. and NE Cornell Rd., and after a quick jaunt through a lovely little park, head NW out of Hillsboro through the beautiful Washington County countryside, past the Old Scotch Church, then loop back around into Hillsboro via a fun little drop, where we'll roll through the city and on our way back to our starting location.

Time:  Meet and Greet 9:40am; Be ready to ride at 10:00 AM.

Pace: 12mph-ish

Distance: 26.3 miles

Terrain:  flatish with only one small hill, BUT, you'll be going DOWN it!!   :)

Attitude:  friendly and social, regroup at all turns, nobody gets dropped.

Traffic:  normal traffic on city streets, multi-use paths, country roads and highways, with and without bike lanes.

Route:  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3351108

Ride Leader: Mark Bendickson: [masked][masked]-8291. Please call or email with any questions or concerns.

Weather Cancellation Policy: It's Summer!

Required: All items you need to change your tire if you get a flat, including a spare tube and flat repair kit.  Please carry sufficient water and snacks for the ride.  Carry a credit card and a little cash to buy refreshments.  If you plan to attend the post ride event, bring a lock.

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request.

MANDATORY FOR ALL RIDERS - MUST READ!

Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road.  Please represent us well.

All riders must have their rides in good working order and must bring a flat kit & spare tube on all rides. Should damage occur that is beyond repair, plan to have a way to get picked up (AAA, a friend...).  If you have a flat, there is often, but not always, someone on the ride who knows how to help you change your tire.

If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment, you may be asked to sit the ride out.  Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride.  We will try to help!

*Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.

**RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of NumBumz.

Thanks Mark and Beth. Great ride, great route, great man out front. It was my first experience with a group ride, and enjoyed it very much. Can't wait for the next. Actually signed up for the Harvest ride (45) that Laura had mentioned along the way.

Thanks for coming out everybody and being so brave to experience the elements today. Beth and I enjoyed meeting and visiting with those we'd never ridden with before and those we had. Special thanks to Beth for sweeping, Laura for taking pictures and recording the event, Ralph for having handy tools to help put parts back on bikes, and happy commeraderie from Sara and Wendy, and everyone else too! Hope to see you all on another ride soon!

Thank you Mark and Beth for your Hillsboro hospitality! Great route and group. Nice to see most were not going to let a little Oregon rain showers prevent a nice ride out in the country.
