  • We'll be standing out front
  • Pace: ~11-13 mph

Start Time: Meet and greet at 6:00 PM.  We leave at 6:15 PM sharp so please plan accordingly.  We honor those who arrange their schedule to be on time.

    Distance: ~20 miles

    Route:  Link to Route Map:

Hills: Normal ups and downs but no big hills for our mountain goat friends.  ;-)

Attitude: We will be moving along with 1 short break.  Please be able to ride a steady 11-13 mph for the whole 20 miles.

Traffic: Be comfortable riding around and in traffic.  We'll be using bike friendly roads and trails through out the city.  Usually we've had very light traffic.

Group Ride, but please be comfortable with continuous riding with no long breaks.  It is just too cold outside to stand around for very long.

Ride Leader: Neal Peterson[masked];  [masked]  Please call or email with any questions.

Weather Cancellation Policy: We ride in rain showers but brutal cold (below 25), soupy fog or sideways rain will cancel.

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request.

Since this is a night ride, a head light and a tail light are mandatory.

Always bring plenty of water, snacks for energy, a flat repair kit, including a spare tube.  A tool kit and small pump is good, but if you don’t have one there is usually someone on a group ride who does.  Carry a credit card and a little cash to buy refreshments.

    Mandatory for all riders.

Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road.  Please represent us well.

All riders must have their rides in good working order and must bring a flat kit & spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out. Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride. We will try to help!

All riders must be able to change a flat should they have one or have a way to get picked up (AAA, a friend…). There is often but not always someone on the ride who knows how to help you change your tire so plan accordingly.

Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.

Final Note: RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of NumBumz.

    Hi, all.

There's a possibility of significant windchill tomorrow evening if the east winds materialize. I'm going to watch the developments closely, but there's is a chance I'll cancel this ride as, quite frankly, I don't feel like riding when the windchill is equivalent to 19F. I'll make the decision no later than 2 pm tomorrow so please check the site and/or your email before leaving for the ride. It's likely that Ed will also cancel the shadow ride.

    Regards, Neal

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
