Learn Go!

Not all of it of course.

I've been writing a course/slidedeck on learning Go.  The inaugural Learn Go Meetup will attempt to go over why you should learn Go and also give a rapid fire overview of the language (as much as we can get done in the time frame)

6:30 Networking | Food | Drink

8:00 Go 201

My employer, CollectiveHealth, has graciously offered the space and to pay for beer and food.

Enjoyed it - gave me a better idea what's going on behind the scenes and some of the more subtle language features I haven't been using day-to-day with our Go code.

Thanks again to Matt and Preston for this event (and the pizza and beers!). I'd like to repeat that tour.golang.org could be a very good complementary material to Matt's slides. Also I'm happy to help with your questions (@francesc on Twitter)

Absolutely! After the slides get a little bit of polish, I'll post them somewhere on the internet!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
