Gold Coast Beach Volleyball

This Meetup group is for anyone looking for an excuse to go outside and hit a volleyball in an informal yet organised environment. The target market are the social players who just want to show up and get some exercise with minimal costs and no obligations.

Gold Coast is blessed with kilometers of sandy beaches ideal for playing beach volleyball and there is a lack of opportunities for adults to participate in social team sports. This Meetup group aims to fill this void by holding beach volleyball sessions once a fortnight at different beaches on weekends.

We use a portable beach volleyball kit to set up volleyball courts on the beach; it is the same kit used by Natalie Cook & Kerri Pottharst to train for the 2000 Olympic Games.
