Sounds like Bruce's mid-week outing was a hit so he has very kindly offered to lead another one next week - thank you, Bruce.

Please make sure your RSVP is up to date the night before and text the Organiser on the day if you find you can't make it at the last minute.
THE WALK - 9km approx; Easy:
Quite a few members were interested in more mid week walks and the possibility of a Brisbane walk so while I am still on holidays I thought I would offer this one. Because this is a mid week walk outside Brisbane I thought a later start would avoid any traffic problems.
Jollys Lookout to Bombana and return is an easy 8 km walk through open forest and into rainforest. There are wonderful views. At Bombana we can do the 1 km Pitta Circuit which is really lovely then have lunch at Bombana- there are tables, a shelter and toilets -very civilised.
The walk offers an opportunity to appreciate nature, to relax and to get to know your fellow walkers better. I do a martial art, Aikido, and we have a period of silence in order to leave the outside world behind and to be present on the mat. I was thinking of starting the walk with a period of silence for the same reason. We can see how you feel about this on the day.
We can compete the day with a coffee and chat at a near by coffee shop.
WHAT TO BRING: Plenty of water, lunch or snacks, good hiking/walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. Members are also asked to bring a first aid kit on every hike.
We'll pass around the hat again for a $1 contribution to cover our registration on the Meetup website which is around $170 per year. Any additional funds will be donated to the Springbrook SES.
