RSVPS FOR THIS HIKE WILL OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 13.
Join Kev for a bushwalk at Binna Burra, combining the Gwongorool Pool and Tullawallal tracks. For the uninitiated, please be aware that Kev sets a cracking pace and it's an 5-6km uphill battle from Gwongorool Pool up to the Border Track so please don't put your name down for this one if you're looking for a relaxing nature walk!!
Kevin Gardiner - P:[masked]
Please make sure your RSVP is up to date the night before and text the Organiser on the day if you find you can't make it at the last minute.
THE WALK - 15km; approx 5-6 hours;
Start at the information centre and walk down and back to Gwongorool Pool (6km). I'm guessing Kev will then lead you up the road or via the Caves Circuit to the Border Track to get onto the Tullawallal Circuit. (Just a note from Aunty Karen - I would prefer you take the Caves Circuit; I don't want anyone to get run over on the road!!)
Coffee or lunch at the Lamington Tea House before a nice easy stroll downhill back to your cars.
WHAT TO BRING: Plenty of water, trail snacks, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. Members are also asked to bring a first aid kit on every hike.
We'll pass around the hat again for a $1 contribution to cover our registration on the Meetup website which is around $170 per year. Any additional funds will be donated to the Springbrook SES.
