Golden Dawn Temple of Isis
The Invocation of Hecate
Long before the goddess Hecate was associated with darkness and sorcery, she was an important part of Greek life - a popular Goddess of benevolence, prosperity and purification. People throughout the Mediterranean world would travel far and wide to her sacred caves to have priests and priestesses petition on their behalf to improve their daily lives. In the Golden Dawn tradition, Hecate takes on a central role. It is stated in the Golden Dawn Practicus Advancement that she is the “World- Soul”- the Sustainer of All Life, the Mother of Nature. This is public event open to all to witness and partake of the magic of light in this special invocation in an authentic Golden Dawn temple.
