Directions/meeting point:(the meetup.com directions linked above are not always reliable, use these details to find the start of the hike) We'll meet at the Pheonix Lake trailhead. I will be driving my Silver Subaru Impreza WRX, license plate ending in 468. I'll be wearing this black Sanzaru Games hoodie (if it's not too hot). I'll send out my cell to RSVPs (but as always there is no guarantee of reception).
We will be hiking Mount Tamalpais Watershed, starting at Pheonix Lake. We'll be heading to Inspiration Point via the Tucker Trail, and Eldridge Road. On the way back we'll take Indian Road and Harry Allen Trail. A partial GPS recording of the route is here. The hike will be around 9 miles and around 1800 foot elevation gain.
Hopefully the weather will be good, but be prepared for rain or mud. At this time of year be sure to bring sun screen and a sun hat. Also be sure to avoid Poison Oak, which can be found on most bay area trails. As with all my hikes everyone signs up at their own risk, and you assume all liability associated with the hike and carpooling to it (by RSVPing you agree to our conditions of membership).
Carpooling is recommended as there is limited parking at the trailhead. I will be driving from the NOPA district of SF, email via meetup if you need a lift.
I will be tracking this hike via the Maprika app on my phone (http://www.maprika.com/). I will be setting up a "Meeting" if you want to find the meeting point that way. If you add me as a contact on Maprika (Gareth Morgan, [masked]) I will invite you to the meeting. However don't rely on on your phone having reception and/or battery, know where the meeting point is without it.
After the hike I will going to Iron Springs brew pub in Fairfax if anyone fancies a drink and/or a meal.
