Wilder Ranch Hike

NOTE: Change in meeting point, it is now at the Wilder Ranch Interpretive Center.
Directions/meeting point: (the meetup.com directions linked above are not always reliable) the meeting point will be on at the North End of the Parking Lot, of the Wilder Ranch Interpretive Center just off Hwy 1, outside Santa Cruz (it is clearly sign posted from Hwy 1). I will be driving my Silver Subaru Impreza WRX, license plate ending in 468. I'll be wearing this black Sanzaru Games hoodie (if it's not too hot). I'll send out my cell to RSVPs (but as always there is no guarantee of reception)
This week's hike is at Wilder Ranch near Santa Cruz. We will start at the interpretive center then take the path under Hwy 1 then take the west side of Englemans Loop up to Long Meadow trail, then take Chinquapin Trail back to Eucalyptus trail and then to Wilder Ridge Loop, which we'll take back to our starting point. It will be around 12 miles with about 1000 ft elevation gain.
Dress in layers, bring lots of water and snacks. Hopefully the weather will be good, but be aware there is not a ton of tree cover everywhere on this hike, so bring a sun hat and sun screen. This is a state park, so no dogs I am afraid. Carpooling recommended as there is not a ton of parking at the trailhead (and there is a day use fee for parking).
If anyone fancies a post-hike beer and a snack, we'll be heading over to Santa Cruz Brewing after the hike.
