Since the hike size is limited, please do not respond Yes unless you are sure you will be attending. What is a Poetry Hike?
If you like, bring a short poem or an excerpt of a longer one. Two or three times during the hike, we'll stop briefly and people can recite the poems they brought. This is completely optional, and the stops will be brief. You can bring poetry from the literature or your own. More poetry at lunch. This is something I did for years as a hike leader in Washington DC and it was a lot of fun.
