Ahh yes our first Scottish ride. Of course you don't have to wear a Kilt to join this one, but if you fancy the Bay City Rollers, Rod Stewart, or anything else that's fun from Scotland this date is for you. For all who are coming from the Niagara, Welland area, we will meet at the Tim's on Hwy20/Merritville at 8:15am. Kickstands up at 8:30 rendezvous with the rest of the group for 9am in Jordan. Simply a fun morning/afternoon ride that will end in Burlington at the famous Thistle Pub by 3-3:30pm. A late lunch/early supper for those that stay. You don't have to get the Haggis off the menu, they have lots of other good eats. Love to see you all there.

Many thanks to Timz, Mike and Barb for the great day. I'd have given it a 5 star if I didn't land on my butt, on wet pavement, without warning.

We had a really great ride today. Tim and Mike were really good sports. Tim wearing a kilt and Mike playing Bagpipe and Scottish music cd's. Also Thanks to both of them for keeping us safe out there. The restaurant was awesome as was the haggis.

Just to let you all know The Thistle is NOT a pub as mentioned above, it is a restaurant with no liquor licence.

Put me down as a maybe. I'll be there if I can find earplugs that can block the sound of bagpipes.
I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made object never equaled the purity of sound achieved by the pig.
    Q. What's the definition of a gentleman?
    A. Someone who knows how to play the bagpipe and doesn't.
Q: What's the only thing worse than a bagpiper?
A: Good question. We're still trying to find out too.
Q Why did God give pipers 2% more brain than horses?
    A. Because he didn’t want them crapping in the streets during parades
    Q. What's the definition of "perfect pitch"?
    A. When you toss a set of bagpipes into the bin and they land on an accordion.
When you arrive in heaven, St. Peter says, "Welcome to Heaven! Here's your harp."
When you arrive in Hell, Satan says, "Welcome to Hell. Here are your bagpipes."
